BACKGROUND: Basic Open-to-buy
calculations can be done two ways: 1.
Use BOMI (Beginning of Month
Inventory) as a starting
point. Most simple spreadsheets are done this
way. 2. Calculate BOMI using Turns
and other performance criteria, which is much more accurate
but more complex.

first time, you will still have the benefit of the
accurate BOMI calculations - but limited by the "Minimum" and
"Maximum" monthly inventory amounts you enter. Accuracy plus
Simplicity.
